About this stop

Catch the VTA light-rail or Caltrain at one of the city's two major transit hubs. This stop is also a true destination area – a gateway to the city's finest eateries, drinkeries, and boutique shops.

Nestled at one end of the charming, narrow, pedestrian-friendly Castro Street, the Mountain View Transit Center hosts a farmers' market every Sunday morning, the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival every September, and "Thursday Night Live" once a month in the summer.

Homage to the past

The two-story structure at this station is a 2002 replica of the original Southern Pacific train depot built in 1888 and demolished in 1959.
